A growing number of Americans who can’t afford health care are getting around that problem by going overseas to have surgery, and the term "medical tourism" could be changing American medical care. There are an estimated 45 million uninsured people in the United States. Last year, 500,000 people, primarily those uninsured, traveled overseas for medical treatment.
